It looks like our favorite search engine, also the creator of the popular Android software, has decided to become even more aggressive in the phone market. Today Google announced that the search engine giant and Motorola Mobility have entered a definitive agreement. For which Google will acquire Motorola for $12.5 billion.
Co-founder and CEO of Google,Larry Page said, “Motorola Mobility’s total commitment to Android has created a natural fit for our two companies. Together, we will create amazing user experiences that supercharge the entire Android ecosystem for the benefit of consumers, partners and developers. I look forward to welcoming Motorolans to our family of Googlers.”
